TANA NEEDS YOUR TALENT TO DEVELOP

God gave us talents  to benefit us..... Why do we have talents if we can't pay  our rent? Why get talents if we can't pay our own fees?  Why have talents if we can't put food on the table? These are questions we should be asking ourselves each time we go viral complaining about the unfavourable nature of our lives!!!

 

It's through talent Victor Wanyama  pays for all expenses encountered  by his family, it's through talent Anyang ' Nyongo' s Lupita Nyong'o  grew to a millionaire, it's through talent Lionel Messi is one of the richest people in Argentina, it's through talent our one and only Diamond Platnumz who is said to have not stepped into a class posses that Bugatti.  What can this tell you?  I tells you talent can take you out from nothing to something right?  But the one billion question is.... Do we want to explore our talents?  Do we want to get income from our talents?  Or rather do we want to impress the general public from our talents?  The answer in most cases is no!!!  Very few have got the feeling and audacity to try it out.........

Two months ago. I was sharing with my friend and he said that he oftenly plays a very good football making everybody applause each time he posses the ball.  Then I told him what has he done with that talent to atleast put anything on the table for his family. He replied "nothing" accompanied by pointing fingers on the failure  on the government to realize the potential of the youths!!!  Personally I differed with him here!! Do you? Everything starts with you and your determination......  WCB couldn't exist were it not for self start. Start with anything you have!!!!  If you can sing start with that pen and book you have!  Before people realize your potential and help you out!  Before the government sees the  benefits of in investing in your  talent. 

We need a good gospel minister to bless people with amazing songs, we need investigative journalists to help solve and expose the wicked in the society. We need good photographers to help us keep amazing memories for the future. We need Emcees to keep us entertained in events. The list is endless. 

What is it that you do? What really is your talent? If you are a dancer, there are people who make a living through dancing. Athletes make a living by using their talent. Who said that you a different? Believe in what you do. A certain instrumentalist said that if he doesn’t enjoy how he plays the guitar, the audience will also not enjoy. We need to wake up!  Its time we stand up. Don’t expect people to always help you find yourself. In fact some people are glad that you don’t know yourself. 

If you are an aspiring entrepreneur, don’t wait for people to give you business ideas, have them, if you are a singer, don’t wait for someone to drag you to practice singing, do it. Enjoy it!  If an aspiring journalist, don’t  wait for people give you the latest news,  let them inquire the news from you. It’s not a matter of being spoon fed,  it’s a matter of getting your own meal. Commitment is paramount!  You have to be, no short cuts.

Discouragement and disappointment will always be there as part of our growth. Learn from them.What really matters is how we tackle it. Never loose hope. People might not understand  or appreciate  what you do, but the most important thing  is to never doubt yourself. Furthermore, life is difficult for the “blind”. Most of the time, those who seem to major in discouraging you are actually scared and feel threatened  by your growth, therefore they try to lower you to their level. 

For one to succeed, you also need to have people whom you share the same vision, but in a different perspective, and also people who are ready to be committed. By different perspective I mean, for example, person X and Y have a passion in media studies, but X is more in video editing and videography, while Y is in reporting and anchoring. Get someone that will make you feel challenged in life to do more.  By so doing you become better.
